NanoLumCat Ostrava 2024: Pioneering Light Transformation for a Sustainable Future
The NanoLumCat Ostrava workshop has officially begun, bringing together leading materials scientists from Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, China, the Czech Republic, and beyond. This three-day event, hosted at the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center at VSB-TUO, focuses on cutting-edge research in carbon dots and single-atom catalysis for renewable energy solutions.
Organized jointly by VSB-TUO and CATRIN of Palacký University Olomouc, the workshop is held under the auspices of the SAN4Fuel project and the Global Experts programme by the Moravian-Silesian Region.
Shaping the Future of Nanomaterials for Energy Innovation
“The goal of this meeting is to unveil the latest advancements in carbon dots and single-atom catalysis while launching a new era of research and development in nanomaterials for sustainable technologies. We are honored to welcome key scientific figures from both theoretical and experimental chemistry, enabling us to cover a broad spectrum of research—from material design, synthesis, and characterization to applications in medical imaging, light sources, and photocatalysis,” said Michal Otyepka, one of the event’s main organizers.
