Lucie Obalová

Lucie obtained MSc. degree in chemical engineering at Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague, in 2003, she received her Ph.D. degree in process engineering at VSB-Technical University of Ostrava where she was employed at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Theory of Technologic Processes, Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering as assistant (1995 – 2005), associate professor (from 2005 – 2009) and professor (from 2009 – 2015). From 2014, she acts as director of Institute of Environmental Technology, research centre at VSB-TUO. Lucie has authored or co-authored 100 scientific publications, h-index=28 (WoS, January 2023), 4 Czech patents, 1 PCT, and 5 applied results. Her research activities are directed towards the areas of chemical and reaction engineering, environmental (photo)catalysis, adsorption, kinetics and mechanisms of chemical reaction and nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds abatement, with over 20 years of experience in the field. She was a principal investigator of 12 research projects with a total budget of EUR 17 mil. for VSB-TUO.
